Domestic, theft, skunk, among recent police calls

A 24-year-old woman was arrested Tuesday morning, following an apparent domestic incident at a County Road Y home.

According to reports, a 31-year-old man called authorities at 9:45 a.m. to report his girlfriend had broke his glasses and hit him with a wine bottle before leaving the residence.

She was later located and arrested for domestic disorderly conduct.

Langlade County deputies also investigated an unrelated report of vandalism Tuesday night.

A White Lake resident called authorities at 8:44 p.m. to report someone had came over to his home, gouged his truck up with a knife, and left southbound on County Road M.

A female at the home reportedly witnessed someone run across the yard and jump a makeshift fence. A pickup truck with no headlights was apparently seen shortly after. A description, but no license plate number, was given to police.

The man then reported a similar incident occurring approximately one month ago.

A 16-year-old female was cited for retail theft following an incident at Gilbert's Sentry Foods Tuesday evening.

A store employee notified police of a juvenile on surveillance video who appeared to be taking food from the deli and left without paying. She was soon tracked down and cited for the offense.

Police were also on the lookout for a skunk in a rather compromising position this morning.

The animal, with a plastic cup on its head, was reportedly seen crossing South Superior Street near Birch Street. at 8:08 a.m.

Authorities were unable to locate the creature as of press time.
