Bowler's Reanne Kietlinski tops 2,000 career points
space
An area athlete recently wrapped up one of the most prolific girls basketball careers in recent memory.

Bowler guard Reanne Kietlinski finished her career with 2,096 points, leaving her 13th all-time in the state in scoring. She is only the 22nd player in state history to eclipse the 2,000 point plateau.

Kietlinski hit 2,000 points on Feb. 15 with a free throw midway through the first half in a 55-32 home win over Marion.

The accomplishment came during a historic season for Bowler, who captured the first conference title in the 44 year history of its girls basketball program.

The Panthers won the Central Wisconsin North Conference with an 11-1 mark, and finished 17-8 overall. Bowler advanced to a division five regional final, before falling to top seeded Tri-County.

Kietlinski averaged just over 25 points per game during her senior season.

With several offers on the table, Kietlinski is weighing her options between division two, three and NAIA universities. Such as Northern Michigan, Olivet Nazarene in Illinois, Oakland City in Indiana and various universities in Wisconsin. She hopes to make a decision in the upcoming weeks.
