Meth lab uncovered in the town of Rolling
space
A search warrant executed Tuesday in the town of Rolling uncovered a likely meth lab, as the drug continues to be a daily nuisance for area law enforcement.

Three people were arrested and appeared in Langlade County Circuit Court via video feed from the county jail on Wednesday. They included Freddy R. Kelly, 33, Jason R. Kelly, 43, and Naomi N. Kolpack, 28. Bond was set at $5,000 cash in all three cases.

According to court accounts from Langlade County District Attorney Elizabeth Constable, Langlade County Sheriff’s Deputies along with the Wisconsin Department of Criminal Investigation’s clandestine lab executed the warrant at N989 Elmhurst Road in the town of Rolling Tuesday and uncovered a plethora of materials and supplies used to make methamphetamine.

Acid, blaster packs of pseudoephedrine, batteries, oxycodone pills, coffee filters, funnels, mason jars and needles were among the items recovered. One of the defendants was in the midst of pouring a container of liquid down the drain when he was located by police.

Charges will be officially filed this week.

According to Constable numerous felony counts are expected to include possession of methamphetamine, possession of methamphetamine precursors, possession of a schedule II narcotic, possession of methamphetamine paraphernalia, maintaining a drug trafficking place, recklessly endangering safety and exceeding the pseudoephedrine purchasing limit in a given time period.

Judge John Rhode initially questioned what he seemed to consider a low bond given the circumstances, but would go along with the district attorney’s request.

I’m dealing with meth in my court room every day, he said. It wasn’t that way even a year ago, this community is sick of it.

Five children ranging in age from an infant to five years old were found in the home at the time of the search.

The trio will return to court for an initial appearance on Monday.
