Mattmiller, Elliott pace local bowlers Nov. 2, 2009 Brian Mattmiller and Nancy Elliott scared up some good scores at North Star Lanes Saturday in leading the Halloween crowd with the night’s top scores.
Competitors in the Saturday Couples II league, Mattmiller paced the men with a 698 triple (183, 268, 247) while Elliott led the women with a 577 (235, 198, 144.)
On the men’s side, another seven men finished in 600 series range.
Kirk Elliott was among the frontrunners with his 691. Games were 233, 244 and 214.
Dan Cherek produced a 633 triple with games of 218, 187 and 228 while Kirk Iwen fired a 629 with a 222, 194 and 213. Rounding out the list were Jack Filbrandt, 625 with 204, 205 and 216; Nick Sinkler, 624 with 215, 232 and 177; Ron Wolf, 619 with 187, 217 and 215; and Jim Jones, 605 with 182, 206 and 217.
Others producing at least one game 200 or better were Dennis Seis, 235; Kevin Marshall, 221; Ken Kubacki, 220; Chris Orgeman, 213; Steve Hayes, 212; Jeff Vaughn, 208; Shawn Thomas, 206; and Mel Kubacki, 201.
Sharon Sinkler scored a 502 series for the women. Games were 153, 216 and 133.
Stacy Orgeman bowled a 190 game, Lori Hasse posted a 181 and Faith Cook notched a 179.
Thursday Ladies
Janet Heckert paced the Thursday Afternoon Ladies with a 486 series. Games were 170, 180 and 136.
Kathie Baginski finished as the runnerup at 469. The mark featured games of 150, 145 and 174.
Rounding out the list were Jean Guse, 460 with 144, 160 and 156; and Jean Walker, 454 with 136, 173 and 145.
