Adequate number of physicians missing piece of local health care puzzle Sept. 23, 2008 To the Antigo Journal:
The sky is falling! The sky is falling! Well, not totally, but some pieces are gone, I speak concerning our professional medical community. You see, three doctors have left and the fourth is packing to go.
So, while we promote our bricks and mortar and the high tech equipment contained there in, it is all there to support doctors in their diagnosis and treatment of us. We therefore need the doctors.
Will the burden placed on existing doctors to cover this shortage cause some to look for more peaceful locations and follow suit. Possible, could happen, why not!
So!, We call on the medical institutions that are responsible to insure ample medical personnel to care for the people of this community, to develop a sustainable plan and act on filling this need, please.

Chairman
