Badge Bulletin July 15, 2010 Information:
The Langlade County Traffic Safety Commission is distributing lime green safety vests. Vests can be used while walking, biking, special events or for motorists having vehicle trouble along the road.
They are free of charge and can be picked up at the Antigo Police Department, Antigo City Hall and at various gas stations located throughout Langlade County.
Legal Update:
As of Jan. 1, 2010, U-turns are permitted at controlled intersections unless signs are installed to indicate the maneuver is prohibited.
U-turns are still prohibited in business districts, curves, hillcrests or where visibility is less than 500 feet. The U-turn must be made from the leftmost turn lane in the same fashion as making a conventional left turn.
Warrant of the Week:
As of June 14, 2010, the Antigo Police Department holds a $30,000 warrant for Jason S. McGhee, d/o/b 9/21/1972, for failure to pay child support. His last know address was 829 Superior St.
